Please know that effective Oct. 3, the HUD-1 Settlement Statement, Good Faith Estimate, and Truth-In-Lending Disclosure Statement retire. Two new forms take their place:  the Loan Estimate and the Closing Disclosure. As part of its “Know Before You Owe” campaign, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau launched a website we think does the best job at explaining the new forms.
