Ethics Training Gets More Time

The Board of Directors also approved a change to NAR’s Code of Ethics training requirement. The change extends the training requirement from every two years to every three years and extends the current Cycle 6 deadline from Dec. 31, 2020, to Dec. 31, 2021. The next cycle (Cycle 7) will begin Jan. 1, 2022, and end Dec. 31, 2024. View additional board actions here.

The first of its kind, My Flood Risk is a free, interactive, web-based platform designed with real estate professionals in mind! Utilizing several industry-proven flood risk factors and comprehensive, up-to-date data, it gives an overall score representing the true flood risk for each property in America. For real estate agents, our My Flood Risk report includes a liability waiver at the bottom. When you click the button to generate the report, you just need to select “industry professional” to have the report generate with the waiver. Real estate agents can obtain their clients’ signatures on these waivers, as proof that the client has been advised of the potential flood risk to their property.
